Glenmore Athletic Park

Glenmore has 7 sport fields, 3 ball diamonds, a velodrome and a ‘Class A’ 400 meter track and field facility. Located in Southwest Calgary, next to Lakeview Golf Course, Stu Peppard Arena and Glenmore Aquatic & Fitness Centre, it's got something for everyone. Cardel Rec South

Cardel Rec South (formerly known as the South Fish Creek Recreation Association) and the Shawnessy YMCA will be working together to provide a greater experience and offer more sport activities to the children of Calgary. Their schedules have been combined for your convenience. The first two arenas at Cardel Rec South were opened to the public in January 2001 followed by the most recent two which opened in February 2012. This makes Cardel Rec South the only community-run quad arena facility in Alberta. Through a unique and collaborative effort with one of our Partners, the Calgary Catholic School District, we are also able to utilize the three Bishop O’Byrne High School gymnasiums when they are not used by the school. This additional gymnasium space allows us to better serve the recreational needs of the community. Cardel Rec South also has multiple meeting rooms of various sizes, from board room to classroom to banquet room. In addition to rental space, Cardel Rec South offers a complete range of recreational programs to the citizens of Calgary. To date, the community has benefited from a wide variety of structured and unstructured gym and ice programs, home schooling classes, as well as sports, languages and arts programs for all ages.

The Genesis Centre

The Genesis Centre and the Saddletowne YMCA will be working together to provide a greater experience and offer more sport activities to the children of Calgary. Their schedules have been combined for your convenience.

The Genesis Centre partners and hosts the Saddletowne YMCA, and the Saddletowne Calgary Public Library. They are dedicated to serving the sport, recreation, educational, and cultural needs of the northeast. The Genesis Centre not only offers traditional sport and recreation activities, but also the facilities have been designed to host a wide range of social, cultural, and corporate events.

Shawnessy YMCA

Shawnessy YMCA and Cardel Rec South will be working together to provide a great experience and offer more sport activities to the children of Calgary. Their schedules have been combined for your convenience.

Located in Calgary's rapidly growing southern quadrant, Shawnessy YMCA is part of the impressive Cardel Rec South Complex.  This huge and unique facility includes community four ice pads, a Catholic high school, public library and the Shawnessy YMCA.  The team at Shawnessy will welcome you with a warmth and kindness.  The staff and volunteers are great at anticipating needs and as a result, provide programs and services that match perfectly with community needs.

Trico Centre for Family Wellness

Trico Centre for Family Wellness is a non-profit, community-operated fitness and wellness facility located in South Calgary. Working in partnership with over 30 South Calgary Community Associations, our unique community partnership model gives each of our community partners from SE and SW Calgary a voice on the Trico Centre board and allows each community to play an active and strategic role in our facility. Village Square Leisure Centre

Healthy lives promote a healthy community and Village Square Leisure Centre provides the tools that make achieving this a lot easier. The leisure centre is an award winning, 5.5-acre facility that provides tons of affordable family fun and promotes community togetherness. The facility is located in the community of Pineridge in northeast Calgary and offers more than you think. Entertainment for all ages including a wave pool, indoor waterpark with swinging bridges, dump buckets, spray guns, the legendary Thunder Run waterslide, dive tank, hot tub and steam room. Other amenities include full size gymnasium, Jungle Gym for pre-schoolers, two full size arenas, fitness and dance studios, weight room and several multi-purpose rooms. Village Square Leisure Centre is a destination for birthday parties, day camps and playschool. We offer free after school activities for youth (11-15 years) Mondays - Thursdays and children (7-10 years) Monday and Wednesday between 3 and 6pm. Youth from grades 7-10 can come drop in on Friday nights 7:45-10:15pm for a fun youth exclusive night. Came participate, there is more than you think at calgary.ca/recreation.

Saddletowne YMCA

At the Genesis Centre of Community Wellness, Saddletowne YMCA and the North East Centre of Community Society (NECCS) will be working together to provide a great experience and offer more sport activities to the children of Calgary. Their schedules have been combined for your convenience.

Saddletowne YMCA is part of the Genesis Centre of Community Wellness, a beautiful new Gold-LEED facility located near Saddletowne Circle, between the communities of Taradale, Martindale and Saddle Ridge.  Saddletowne YMCA provides a place where Northeast residents can enjoy community, health, wellness and recreation opportunities.

Talisman Centre

Talisman Centre is in a prime location right next to downtown and set in the middle of beautiful Lindsay Park beside the Bow River. Owned by the City of Calgary and operated by The Lindsay Park Society, Talisman Centre has room under its iconic roof for everyone- from high-performance athletes to those dedicated to reaching their individual fitness goals. Talisman Centre includes: 2 eight-lane 50m Olympic-size pools with public swim times, 5 full-size gymnasiums, 2 tracks including a multi-lane 200m track, an Olympic calibre dive tank with spring boards and platforms, 25,000 square feet of training space with over 700 pieces of cardio and weight training equipment, a variety of free daily Group Fitness classes (drop-in), and a one-of-a-kind Endurance Training Systems (ETS) and TriClub.

Southland Leisure Centre

Southland Leisure Centre is one of the City of Calgary's world-class award winning 227,000 square foot multi-purpose recreation facilities. Since 1983, Southland has proudly served the citizens of Southwest Calgary positioning itself as a Family Active Living Centre and serving as a community hub for all ages. Southland has a spectacular waterpark, including a wave pool, dive tank, three exciting water slides, kiddies pool, hot tub, steam room and a fabulous Aqua Play structure, including water guns, slides and dump buckets. The pool also offers swim lessons and aqua fitness programs. Other key components are twin arenas, which offer public skating and shinny hockey, dry sports areas which includes a 7,000 square foot weight room, a 4,300 square foot fitness studio, multi-use rooms, gymnasium, rock climbing, gymnastics gym, racquetball and squash courts, Playhouse classrooms and a kinder room for preschoolers. Southland is also a destination for birthday parties, day camps and has babysitting available. Junior high students can come out for free after school activities Mondays to Thursdays between 3 and 6 pm and Friday 1 to 5 pm. Teens can also drop in for Friday night Teen Night that offers exclusive DJ dance room, sport hall, and use of public swim time for regular admission.

The Calgary Soccer Centre is a 267,000 square feet facility and houses 8 indoor fields, 3 outdoor artificial turf fields and 1 outdoor natural grass field. Complimentary outdoor parking is offered in addition to a fully licensed food and beverage lounge, concession, Subway restaurant, a coffee/pastry vendor and a soccer equipment store.
